Northern Ireland Region's inaugural IPSC Shotgun was hotly contested by competitors from 12 countries.

The IPSC show came to Kilkeel, County Down on the 29th of April with competitors from 12 Regions – AUT, CAN, FIN, FRA, GBR, IOM, IRL, ITA, NIR, PHI, SWE & USA – competing in the match which was set in the scenic Mountains of Mourne. This is the first L3 Shotgun event in Northern Ireland and following the success of this match it looks set to become an annual fixture.

The results across all divisions and categories were very close indeed, as one would expect with a truly world class field, you can see the results here:

After the match the competitors attended a Gala Dinner & Prize Ceremony in The Kilmorey Arms Hotel where Gillian Fitzpatrick from Newry & Mourne Council presented the awards. Some competitors stayed for a week, making a holiday out of the trip and the event received very positive feedback so it looks set to become an annual fixture on the IPSC calendar.
